Petra

Old walls. Lichen slow and patient, unbothered by anything.

A long-sleeved top, longer in the torso than the others, finished at the hem with a ribbing that moves with you. Three fibres, merino, hand-dyed merino, recycled silk , in the quiet palette of stone and lichen. Hand crocheted by Mateo.

Petra is made from two yarns, totalling 430 grams and 5044 stitches

160g — Soc una Troca, Catalonia (yellow-orange-white gradient)
A 100% Spanish merino, spun in Catalonia, hand-dyed by Soc una Troca, an independent dyer based in Catalonia, in a gradient of yellows, oranges and white. Because it is hand-dyed, the variation across the skein is natural and unrepeatable. No two skeins are dyed exactly alike.

270g — Wooldreamers, grey (two strands held together): 75% Merino + 25% Recycled Bourette Silk
This yarn combines merino wool from Ganadería La Huertona, a small farm in Cistierna, in the mountains of northern León, with recycled bourette silk, made from the short fibres left over after silk thread is reeled from the cocoon, recovered material that would otherwise be discarded. For Petra, two strands of this grey yarn were held together to create a thicker, fuller yarn, giving the piece its structure and a fine, subtle lustre that runs through the fabric.
