It started with small things.
The ground in certain places, really dry, almost dusty.
The sea in summer when it turns that very clear turquoise blue.
Stone walls that look like they’ve been there forever, with lichen slowly taking over.
Bougainvillea that doesn’t even look real when it’s in full bloom.

Nothing dramatic, just things that make you stop for a second and admire what you see.

Eight pieces, all in the same stitch. Each one named for something I kept stopping to look at. Every piece is made from natural, biodegradable fibres like wool, alpaca, merino, mohair, nettle and recycled bourette silk. Most of the yarn comes from small Spanish producers I know personally, or at least know enough about to tell you the name of the farm, the region, and in some cases the actual animals involved.

The photoshoot took place in Aitona, Lleida, in March 2023, during the short window when the fruit orchards bloom. The images were made outdoors, in the blossoming trees, surrounded by pink and white flowers against a cold blue sky. There was something fitting about shooting a collection born from Sitges’s landscape in the interior of Catalonia.

This collection is one of a kind. Each piece exists in a single version.
